Probably twice the size of a modern gorilla, Gigantopithecus is the greatest great-ape that ever was. And for us fellow primates, there are some lessons to be learned in how it lived, and why it disappeared.

Produced in collaboration with PBS Digital Studios: cepnet.mobi/user/pbsdigitalstudios

Thanks to Julio Lacerda at 252MYA.com and Carlos Eulefi for both of their wonderful reconstructions of Gigantopithecus.

I read on the internet that the largest primate to ever exist is a human. An American man with more BMI than IQ, weighing in over 700kg.

This is insulting! Oversimplifications, sensationalism, making authoritative statements rather then acting like adults and presenting the complexity of academic debates, and so on. This is entertainment for low to mid range IQ children. Also, can you put someone knowledgeable to present it rather then the currently mandatory bimbo/ LGBTQP/ minority?

Gingantopithecus would be the largest and strongest of all apes if their species hadn't gone extinct but cos they're extinct it's the gorrillas that are the largest and strongest of all apes

Zero tolerance to sexism. Sexism is not natural but evil. We ceased teaching the “scientific method “ over ten years ago.

We are forced to teach from online pc sources, curriculum being developed by neither teachers nor scientist. We are to emphasize “feelings INSTEAD of reason.
