Joker, hear me- we apologize for making a mess of your character over the past few years, so here we are, trying again, with the hopes of getting it right.

I am hesitant to begin. The movie has just started, and it began with a splendid atmosphere of dread and depression, and perhaps darkness - if one can accurately map such a thing within the human mind. It reminds me of those songs I always play to myself when I remember the universe begins and ends with nothingness; or at the very least human life does. Batman had his time with the Nolan films, and so his adversary deserves a movie fitting of such a pedestal.

Fucking Hollywood sickens me for the most part, but when I do give it the time of day I want it to be worth it. A story was unfolding before my eyes, very much unlike the "comic book" movies we've been fed (like gluttonous dogs hungry for entertainment); what with all their action scenes and "comedy" of modern delight. It was unlike them because I felt there was an intimate take on something human. Perhaps something a lot of us may be struggling with, and so I continued to watch.

My, the score. It felt so much like an urban impression of Silent Hill. There was a constant assault on the psychological which had me pacing myself steadily with the runtime. There was no rush, as there was indeed something human to which I must familiarize myself with (or perhaps to remind myself that I am apart of).

Now I can feel it coming - the madness. The point where a story must inevitably go to stay in accordance with the universe. The laughter had it, yet I wasn't watching a comedy. The laughter had it: the stupid teenagers, the abuse, and the pushing to the edge. The pistol. The blast. Blood. Help! Afterwards the clown would dance to the impressive score. Afterwards the clown seems to have found himself by ridding the world of a scratch of its filth.

So far I've watched, and I cannot see the film not getting an award. With what it has to compare with it should be a relatively easy win, shouldn't it? I daresay things aren't that simple if my idiotic generation has anything to say about it. A film featuring a popular pop star would most likely be the stuff of headlines. But that's actually alright, for as the movie went on I realized it had already been made, and all the good writers and storytellers aren’t extinct just yet. Perhaps we might get a few more good movies before things go to shit for good.

I'm watching, and the movie is almost at an end, but one thing bothers, and that is the fact that I don't see the standard villain from the comics and cartoons. It is an origin story, perhaps, but is this broken man truly capable of becoming, truly, the world's most infamous villain? Sure he's doing quite a few brutal stuff, but where is that darkness which so blindly is in pursuit of the end of the "good citizen"? Where is the true anarchy which sends society into chaos and then some? Ah, I see it now- Gotham's burning, and so too burns another flame in a dark alleyway to invite the other side of this dark coin. It is nighttime, and the coin is dark on both sides, albeit a smile on one.

                                        1. Arthur really isn't the villain, society pushed him to this and
                                        2. Joaquin Phoenix as Joker is like Tom Holland as Spider-Man (both the greatest take on their role)

And one thing they got wrong. Age. There’s such an age discrepancy between the Joker and Bruce Wayne, that by the time Bruce would become Batman, the Joker would be in his 70s.

The Joker movie brings a whole new Joker character to the big screen.

His Voice, laugh and movement is very well made by Joaquin Phoenix. His version brings the more crazy side of Joker with the Combination of Heath Ledger's Evil murderer side. To show that he has mental issues and is constantly attacked and widly thinks that he doesn't even exist which makes the story both interesting and very scary towards the end.

Ledger's verison of the Joker in 2008 is shown as a crazy psycho killer with meanings that he is basically the hero of Gotham, and always creates crazy story's for his distinctive smile and along with his funny pencil joke.

For my perspective since 2008 Christopher Noans batman movie with Heath Ledger as the crown prince of crime and Phoenix in 2019 movie Joker. Both actors can really bring the Joker character to the screen but Ledger still shows more of a crazy psycho killer meaning that Ledger still widly is the best with Phoenix not far behind.

Best movie I've watched in years, I'm impressed and surprised they allowed it, feels almost like a mistake, maybe they weren't aware of all the power that was hidden within the movie, and it was already too late to cancel it when they decided to release it. This movie is so much out of the US movies box and it's filters that I still can't believe that I watched it at the theater and not in some underground film festival.

DCEU is a rushed mess. Started with Man of Steel jumped straight to Batman v Superman, forcefully introduce us to Batman in that one single movie, when they could have made an Arkham-style Batman solo film. If they continue with the DC Black universe, they can do it properly this time, and learn from their previous mistakes, they can fully introduce characters, and make a great R-rated universe. Or they can just stick to one film 'Joker', and not always make an expanded universe.

Joaquin Pheonix does an amazing job at being sympathetic but yet a psychopath at the same time and that's terrifying. It's why the Joker is such a popular character and he nailed it!
