Skip, not to be disrespectful, but Aaron Jones is not a that much of a differentiable back. They'd do almost the same with Jamal Williams and the Packers O-line is very good. Only a couple of running backs are truly valuable like two dudes you hate, Zeke and Saquon lol. Zeke with consistency and great trucking ability and Saquon with unparalleled footwork and burst.

Rodgers still can throw darts and is a mobile QB at this age. Would take him easily over Brady at this point. Brady is a game manager. Also leads the league in throw aways to which you were literally speechless and gave no answer a couple of weeks ago. Pathetic.

Rodgers affects the team more than people think...i wouldnt say he’s been the best player on the team this year but he had impacted the teams success a lot...teams know what rodgers can do, opposing defenses will never fully commit to the run based off of what rodgers has done...helping the offense with the run game in turn helping the play action game

Here’s a stat. Z.Smith is the only player alongside Watt and Do all to have 13+ sacks 35+ QB rushes and hits and 17 tackles for loss. Watt and Donald are the only other 2 and this guy is not a pro bowler? This guy deserves DPOY talk obviously he won’t get that but the guy has changed the defense in GB in which has been one of the worst defenses this decade. Smith was the biggest snub of any other player to not get a pro bowl spot. Don’t matter tho because if GB gets that 1 seed they’re going to the SB

Shannon, Brady took the 2nd worst defense in terms of yards allowed to the Super Bowl in 2011-12. Don't compare him and Rodgers.

Pretty much every Packers fan knew coming into the season that Aaron Jones was going to be the focal point of the offense now and literally everybody is here for it. Much rather have Rodgers go 24-3 TD/INT ratio and go 12-4 or 13-3 on the back of Aaron Jones than go anywhere from 7-9 to 10-6 on Rodgers' back.

Sharpe, you lost this one once your Rodgers homerism took place. Rodgers got the win in Minnesota, but he didn't have a good game. Just because he won doesn't make him great. Shoot, guys like Ponder won games, don't make him great. What about Dak Prescott Sharpe?

In my opinion, the plan for the Vikings going forward the rest of the season should be:
                                                  1. Play NO STARTERS against the Bears and rest everyone so that they (Cook,Thielen, etc.) are as healthy as possible for the playoffs. Then if we don't make it all the way....

(I don't see them getting rid of Zim and/or Spielman until Cousins contract is up,so I'm sure they will get ONE LAST SEASON to prove that they should keep there jobs)

                                                  Blueprint for 2020 offseason:

                                                  1. Cut Rhodes, Elflein, and probably Riley Reiff.

                                                  2. ASK Kirk to take a pay cut. If he refuses to,See if Teddy Bridgewater is available and willing to come back. If we can get Teddy, and a team would be willing to trade for Cousins,we get maybe a 2nd round pick and save 22 million dollars, while also getting Teddy who I feel is a better Qb and is much cheaper. Plus,he already knows the receivers.

                                                  3. Draft offensive line and cornerbacks with top picks.

                                                  4. Possibly trade Kyle Rudolph and keep Irv Smith.

5.Use any cap space to acquire a solid veteran at offensive line and/or cornerback, depending on how draft goes.

If all of that fails next season....if I could have my cake and eat it to,I would say DEMOTE Zimmer to defensive coordinator,Stefanski at Offensive coordinator, and Gary Kubiak as head coach.

                                                  Who agrees? Disagrees?

So let me get this straight. All these years, it was the coach, running game and defense holding Rodgers back. All those excuses. And now suddenly he has all those things and his own play has slipped slightly, theyre saying its on purpose because we dont want to rely on the QB? Huh?

No one is arguing against Aaron Jones being the Packers "offensive MVP". But Skip's reasoning for him saying this is asinine and is nothing more than him using an excuse to refuse to acknowledge anything positive that Rodgers does.

Packers didn't have a run game to punch in the ball in the red zone terribly well in the last few years, which greatly hampered what the offense could do (or were willing to do under McCarthy). This year, Jones and the line are doing much better in that regard (as well as LeFleur). Of course Packer fans are happy to see the TD's regardless of from how many yards out, and we really don't care who is the one scoring them, but it's not as though Jones has been slicing and dicing defenses for big scores all year. Out of the 16 rushing touchdowns he has, ~70% have come from inside the 10. He's on pace to break 1K yards, which he only needs 16 to get against the lions, which is also great to hear, but not a stellar year in terms of RB production... in that regard he's 13th in the NFL currently.

                                                                    Aaron Jones TD:

Aaron Rodgers is known to be an elite quarterback. He's not played at an elite level this year.

I'm one of the biggest packers fans in the world. I've bled green and yellow since 1996. I was one of Rodgers biggest critics when Brett left the picture. I said the kid never had a shot at being anything close to what #4 was. I believe to this day, Rodgers is better than Brett was. But again, in this season, Rodgers is playing more like a top 10 QB and less like the cream of the crop, surefire, MVP that we all know him to be over all these years.

Skip spouts a lot of bologna, but he's dead right. Missing a wide open Aaron Jones on that pass to the flat and just plain whiffing on ball placement on that pass to Adams (would have been a sure TD) are just things you don't expect out of any top 10 QB, let alone Aaron Rodgers. Bad, bad throws on critical situations. Skips right, on passes down the field, Rodgers was terrible. Short dumpoffs he did great, throwing down the field, he did awful.

Skip has to realize when he says that if Aaron Jones is the key to success... that's like saying you need to get 10 yards for a first down. We all know it. 95% of a time, if a team has zero run game success... they are likely going to lose those games. Aaron Jones only has success when the packers have some semblance of a passing game AND their O line can hold up. The kids good, but he's no legend. He needs his line to open some holes, and he needs Rodgers to be able to throw the ball around a little bit. Otherwise the defense just stacks up the box and keys off on him.

Green Bay can be put in a REAL interesting situation. Picture this:

Green Bay gets a first round bye, meaning at least one home playoff game in the second round. Green Bay DOESN'T have to face New Orleans or San Francisco in that second round. Those are very possible scenarios. Now lets stretch a bit further. Green Bay gets the #1 seed with help from Seattle. Green Bay gets to play the NFC Championship in GB. Now for the real stretch. New Orleans AND San Francisco BOTH get eliminated before the Championship game. Green Bay gets to play Seattle or Minnesota again at Lambeau for the right to go to the superbowl.

With a LOT of luck, and some solid football... the packers just might find themselves in a very manageable situation to make it to the superbowl.

                                                                      • Brandon Bouchez

Skiiiiiiup's top 5 QBs in 2019: 1. Tom Brady, 2. Dak Prescott, 3. Tom Brady, 4. Tom Brady and 5. Tom Brady. Best team in the NFL in 2019: You guessed it, The Dallas Cowboys. I like him, but don't get Skiiiiiiup "Who needs a Lombardi Trophy, when you have QBR" Bayless.
