I only just found this video so I understand it’s old. The persimmon they ate needs to sit until the fruit becomes soft. They ate a very unripened persimmon. The pointed persimmon need to sit until it’s really soft and generally eaten with a spoon. The flat persimmons are usually crunchy.

                                1. They cut papaya the hamburger the way but the right way is hot dog
                                2. You aren’t supposed to eat the greenish yellow papaya meaning it’s raw
                                3. The papaya’s skin shouldn’t be eaten
                                4. Bitter melon is best eaten cooked
                                5. Is an onion a fruit?
                                6. Persimmon the soft one leaves should be pulled out and the skin should be peeled. Then you bite it
                                7. If the persimmon becomes chalk in your mouth it’s not ripe, you would have to put it with apples to ripen and it’s supposed to be really sweet and delicious
                                8. You guys didn’t eat the hard persimmon which you should pull the leaves out and peel with a peeler. It tastes much different thank the soft one.

Those persimmons definitely weren't ripe. They're sweet and juicy when ripe, and don't make your mouth chalky.

If you ate one, you were essentially bound to it. The daughter of Demeter was kidnapped by Hades. Because she ate the pomegranate, she was supposed to stay in the underworld. The problem was that Demeter was throwing a hissy fit. She refused to let crops grow. So they divvied up the time. The daughter of Demeter was called Persephone, and she ended up marrying Hades. When Persephone is in the Underworld, no plants grow because of Demeter, thus creating seasons. This summed it up, but there is a lot more to it, so I would look it up :)
