A bit more explanation about the foam. Yes it helps with some of the more difficult fires, e.g. fuel or oil fires, but it also makes the water 'wetter' which basically means it helps the water to not evaporate, and the foaming action helps to smother the fire more effectively. You turn foam on and it's like you have about 3 times the amount of water because you need far less of it to accomplish a given effect.

Kinda odd that the fire truck has fire extinguishers on it. Isn't the whole truck just a fire extinguisher?

Some do, depends on the truck's configuration. My rural FD has one fire engine with a water cannon mounted on the front of the truck as well as foam capability and pump-and-roll capability (water cannon can operate while the truck is moving) and we control it with a joystick in front of the passenger seat. Our number 2 engine is a huge truck that carries so much water that it needs airbrakes, no water cannons but has a hecka large water storage capacity and we use it to pump water into our other fire engine when there's no hydrants available, but it too has a powerful pump so we can use it for attack as well. You can get fire engines with all kinds of capabilities and layouts.

Also, that particular engine has what looks like a water cannon on it. It's mounted on top of the truck (just behind the cab). It has no handles on it so it's probably controlled purely by electronic controls or a joystick. Shame they didn't show it off in the video.

Bro, trying to extinguish a kitchen fire with water is like suicide. As a firefighter you can’t know for sure if there’s oil burning, and if there is and you add water, there will be a huge explosion.

The more, the better in a structural fire situation. Usually we like to have a crew of two, an officer, a driver/operator, and a hydrant man.
